Joseph The Great
A children's book that I illustrated for Houston author Candace Okin. The protagonist was based off her grandfather during his time growing up during the Great Migration.
The success of the book was attributed to a lot of feedback and reviewing. I completed the illustrations traditionally with watercolor and colored pencil which required skill and attention to detail. Joseph the Great was for sale at brick and mortar bookstores to a certain point and can currently be purchased on Candace Okins' website.

Candace Okin visited several schools to read Joseph The Great to students.
